Quotex demo account: how it works

Every new account comes with a US$ 10,000 virtual demo account. It exists so you can learn the platform without risking money. This guide covers what it is, its limits and a usage plan.

What it is

A mirror of the real account: same assets, charts and tools. The only difference is the balance is fictional. You switch between demo and real with the account selector at the top of the platform.

What you can test

  • Chart types (line, candles, area) and timeframes from 5 seconds to 1 day.
  • Indicators and drawing tools available on the platform.
  • The balance panel, history and notifications.
  • The platform on mobile (browser) and desktop.

What the demo does not show

  • Real deposit and withdrawal timing (no money moves).
  • Identity verification, which only appears on the real account.
  • The psychological effect of real money — the main reason demo results do not repeat on the real account.

Refilling the virtual balance

If the demo balance runs out, there is a refill button in the account selector. Unlimited refills; it does not affect the real account.

7-day plan

  1. Days 1–2: just browse. Switch assets, change timeframes, open the settings.
  2. Days 3–4: test indicators one at a time and note what each shows.
  3. Days 5–6: use the platform on phone and desktop to see which you prefer.
  4. Day 7: read the deposits and withdrawals guide and decide whether a real account makes sense — and with how much.
